BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE, FACULTY OF ENGINEERING, UDAYANA UNIVERSITY SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AUN-QA CERTIFICATION University General
Architecture
is one of the disciplines of study included in the MRA (mutual recognition
agreement) of the WTO, so architectural education in BoA must conform to global
standards. As one of the most prominent study programs at Udayana University,
BoA has a medium-term objective of producing graduates whose quality meets
international educational standards. BoA internationalizes by acquiring
international accreditation from world architectural accreditation bodies such
as KAAB (Korean Architectural Accreditation BoArd), a member of the Canberra
Accord, or other international accreditation bodies. AUN QA was the initial
step for BoA to obtain international accreditation in the field of architecture.
The
preparation of the SAR (Self-Assessment Report) AUN-QA for the Bachelor of
Architecture program has been carried out for approximately one year, from the
Even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year to the Even of the 2022/2023
academic year. In preparing SARs, there are several series of activities
carried out, from FGD with alumni and users, benchmarking with ITS which has
received AUN-QA certification, to socializing the written SAR results to
students, lecturers, supporting staffs, alumni and users. After the SAR AUN-QA
was sent on June 8 2023, BOA carried out an orientation held by the committee
and preparations to undergo a field evaluation which was carried out on August
8 – 10, 2023.
The opening
of the field assessment was carried out on June 8 2023 and a site visit was
immediately carried out at the facilities at the university level. Activities
at the Faculty level were carried out in the afternoon and opened by a briefing
from the Dean, Deputy Dean, Coordinator of BOA, and the SAR team with the
assessor team, Prof. Dr. Clarita D. Carillo (lead assessor) and Asst. Prof.
Nimit Mengveha. Site visits at the faculty and study program level were carried
out after lunch, then immediately followed by a meeting of the assessor team
with educational staff, lecturers and students.
The Bachelor
of Architecture would like to express our deepest gratitude to all parties
involved in this AUN-QA certification activity for the cooperation and support
so that the activity could run smoothly and got the best results for this study
program. Hopefully this certification can encourage BOA to always do our best
for the world of education and make significant contributions to society and
the country through research and community service.
